Abstract

The 15th General Election is a change in the country's political landscape following the gazetting of the voting age limit on 15 December 2021. Potter's media literacy model (2004) was used to test the factors of political personal locus, political knowledge structure and political information process skill structure. A study of 750 respondents looked at statistics and social media trends. While touching on the structure of political knowledge, two aspects will be evaluated, namely 1) Analysis and 2) Evaluation that leads to the readiness of political participation. Indicators of willingness to participate in politics are three evaluation perspectives, namely 1) awareness of voting, 2) willingness to vote and 3) willingness to participate in campaigns that will ultimately determine the literacy level of this group.
